Print Comment
The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a Public Workshop for Jan. 30 at Inn by the Lake at 6 p.m. The purpose of the workshop is to solicit input from the community to help design the Wayfinding project.

The Project: The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce has been awarded funding from the City of South Lake Tahoe City Council and El Dorado County Board of Supervisors to manage a Wayfinding project to benefit the South Shore Community. The goal of the project will be to design and install engaging, intuitive clear and safe set of signs with a consistent and visual identity from beginning to end to enhance the visitor's experience by easily directing them to places they would like to visit. As a result, the visitor will more easily navigate the community and be more likely to observe civic, cultural, commercial, conference, lodging and recreational amenities they might not otherwise have noticed.

Design Workshop: Project Design Consultant: The Public Workshop will be attended by the Design Workshop, Consultant for the project. Design Workshop is a local design firm selected from six proposals received for the project. Design Workshop has experience working with the basin's government regulatory agencies and years of experience serving the south shore community.

Community Input is Needed: This project, like all other community projects, needs input from community members to voice their opinions on layout and design. Come be a part of the project.

Jan. 30 Workshop: The first public workshop is scheduled for Wednesday Jan. 30 at the Inn By The Lake at 6 p.m. Come and voice your opinion regarding this important project.
